Buckhannon, WV- West Virginia Wesleyan Men's Basketball would take on nationally ranked West Liberty University on Monday evening. The Bobcats would go into the half with a five point lead but would ultimately fall to the Hilltoppers 80-71.
Wesleyan shot well from the field in the game, and had limited turnovers with ten. WLU would shoot an impressive 53% from the field which was hard to stop in the late minutes for the Bobcats.
Nine players for Wesleyan got into the scoring column with three of them getting into double figures.
Fred Brondsted and
Dusan Vicentic were successful from beyond the arc in the game combining for eight threes on fourteen attempts. Brondsted and Vicentic would have 17 and 12 points respectively.
Luka Petrovic was the facilitator for the Bobcats in the game dishing out a team high nine assists. Petrovic would also add 11-points.
Wesleyan would fall to 1-1 in conference play but would hold WLU to its lowest point total of the season. Before Monday evening, the Hilltoppers lowest point total was 97-points.
