Buckhannon, WV- West Virginia Wesleyan Men's Basketball ended 2018 with a big non-conference win against Alderson Broaddus on Monday afternoon. The Bobcats defeated the visiting Battlers by a score of 84 to 71.
Luka Petrovic would have a big day for the Bobcats tallying 28 points on an impressive 10 for 14 shooting, along with dishing out 9 assists, and adding in 5 steals.
The game would go into the half tied at 36 led by a combined 22 points from Petrovic and
Dusan Vicentic. Vicentic would finish with 17. With just over ten minutes to go into the half, Wesleyan would go an 11-0 run to move ahead 63-52.
The Battlers would fight back with an 8-0 run to close the gap to three at the 7:18 mark. Wesleyan and AB would go back and forth for the next five minutes, and a Petrovic three pointer with 1:52 left was the dagger that put Wesleyan up by 10 and increased momentum for the Bobcats to seal the win.
Wesleyan would have four players in double figures: Petrovic (28), Vicentic (17), Todd (14), and Brondsted with 12. Brondsted would go over forty made three pointers on the season with four on the afternoon.
Wesleyan moves to 5-7 on the season and has a ten day break before they travel to Urbana to take on the Blue Knights.
