BUCKHANNON- West Virginia Wesleyan Softball team beat Salem International 8-0 and 10-7 and beat West Liberty 1-0 then lost 5-7.

In the games against Salem,
Madison Casto and
Megan Magsamen scored two runs,
Lauryn King,
Krista Waggoner, and
Makayla McElwayne each scored one run. In the 3
rd inning, Gutierrez hit a single home run. In the second game, during the 3
rd inning, King homered (grand slam) bringing in
Sara Scoone, Magsamen and McElwayne to score.
Morgan Bruce also hit a home run, bringing home Gutierrez and Waggoner.

In the games against West Liberty, during the 4
th inning, Waggoner singled through the left side and Casto scored. In the second game, in the 1
st inning, Waggoner singled and advanced to second on an error by the left fielder while King scored. Gutierrez homered to left center and Waggoner scored. In the 5
th inning, King doubled down the left field line, advanced to third on the throw and Scoone scored. Waggoner got out at first on a sacrifice bunt and King scored.

The Bobcats increase their overall record to 25-10 and 16-4 in the MEC. They will return to the field on Saturday at Wheeling Jesuit at 12pm and 2pm
