Fairmont, WV-- The West Virginia Wesleyan College Women's Soccer team will take on the Fairmont State University Falcons for a conference matchup. The Lady Bobcats come into today's match with a 3-4 overall record and 2-2 in conference record. The Fairmont State University Falcons come into today's match with a 5-2-1 overall record and a 4-0-1 conference record.
The first half would be a defensive match as both team would combine for a total of 3 shots. The Lady Cats would have 2 and the Falcons would have just 1.
After the first half, the Lady Bobcats would have an opportunity to score on a free kick.
Haelly Ramirez would pick up her 5th goal on the year and
Ellie Hill would pick up the assist. Ramirez would strike it past the Fairmont goalkeeper as the Lady Bobcats would take the 1-0 lead.
Both teams would put up 3 shots in the second half, but the Lady Cats were the only ones to find the back of the net.
The Lady Bobcats would go on to take down Fairmont State and give them their first loss in conference play.
Chelsea Hubner would collect 4 saved on the night and
Haelly Ramirez would have the high of 2 shots for the Lady Cats.
