Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Vicentic Leads Bobcats Past Urbana

Decisive Home Win for the Orange and Black

Recap

West Virginia Wesleyan Men's Basketball got exactly what they needed on Wednesday night. After a disappointing contest on Saturday, the Bobcats had to come out and make a statement against Urbana. They jumped out of the blocks hot, scoring ten points in the first four minutes of the game. Senior Forward Dusan Vicentic scored sixteen on the teams first twenty points, and the Bobcats brought a 29-25 lead to halftime. This was a determined group on Wednesday, and Coach Patella kept his team focused on playing a full forty minutes. The Bobcats closed out the game with a 44-point second half, and they would lead for its entirety. They finished their work with a 73-65 win over the Blue Knights.

What's Next

West Virginia Wesleyan travels to face last-place Notre Dame on Saturday. With a win, the Bobcats would head into the break 4-2 in the MEC. Good teams beat who they are supposed to beat, Wesleyan needs to prove they are a good team.
Urbana hosts a surprising, but inconsistent, Davis & Elkins team this Saturday. This one should be an interesting contest, as the Senators have already taken down Fairmont State and Wheeling this season.
