BETHANY, WV. -- The Lady Bobcats traveled to Bethany, West Virginia for a 1 PM showdown with the Bison. WVWC got out to a strong start, taking a 9-0 lead on the bison with over 11 minutes still remaining in the first half. The Bobcats would build on the lead in those remaining minutes, taking a 12-1 lead into halftime. Wesleyan continued it's dominance in the second half, with stellar performances on both the offensive and defensive end resulting in a 20-2 victory.
Madison Duvall and
Samantha Pappas would lead the offensively for the bobcats, each tallying four goals and one assist.
WVWC would outshoot the Bison 39-13 on the day.
Gabrielle Cleaveland was in net for the bobcats, allowing only two goals while collecting eight saves.
The Bobcats improve to 3-0 on the year, as the Bison fall to 0-1. Wesleyan will be back in action March 8th, traveling to Fayetteville, NC. to take on Methodist University in a 1 PM matchup.
