FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Wesleyan notched another win under their belt after defeating Methodist University, 22-9.  With this win, their record now stands at 3-0 for the season.  

The Monarchs would score first, less than 30 seconds into the game. However, Wesleyan would counter with their own goal from Lindsay Powell less than 30 seconds later to tie things up. Eventually, Methodist would gain a one-point lead, 3-2 with less than 24 minutes left in the first half, however this would be the last time they had the lead. The Lady Bobcats would storm back in the first half, scoring a total of 16 goals. Wesleyan ended the half leading, 16-4.

The Lady Bobcats would not look back and remain in control for the rest of the game. The second half was more reserved as the Lady Bobcats scored six times and Methodist five. Goals scored by Wesleyan included: Madison Duvall (6); Lovely Ordonez-Lopez (4); Lindsay Penwell (3); Victoria Sisson (3); Madeline Gorzka (3); Samantha Pappas (2); Lauren Bolen (1). In addition, Maidson Duvall was able to score her 100^th career goal during this game.

Wesleyan will be back in action on March 10^th when they take on Mercyhurst University at home. The game is slated to start at 2 PM.
