The Lady Bobcats stopped the Falcons streak when Madeline Gorzka scored to cut the lead 4-3, but then Notre Dame scored on a free position shot to hold onto the lead, 5-3. However, Notre Dame scored with eighteen seconds remaining to take the lead again going into halftime, 6-5.

The Lady Bobcats would strike first again, twenty-two seconds into the second half when Lauren Bolen placed a shot past Norte Dame's goalie to tie things back up at 6-6. The next ten minutes would be all Notre Dame as they notched another four goals to take back the lead, 10-6. But then the Lady Bobcats went on a streak of their own, scoring three straight goals to cut the lead to one,10-9. Unfortunately, Wesleyan's late game rush was not enough.
