Clermont, FL – West Virginia Wesleyan's softball team finished up their Florida trip with a total record of 5-5. Listed below are recaps for the games.

Game 5
On Monday, Wesleyan first took on Mercyhurst University. The Lady Bobcats would score first in the top of the eighth inning when Kennedy Cowart hit a SAC fly to score Brooke Clark. Mercyhurst would respond with a run of their own in the bottom of the eighth to tie things up 1-1. Wesleyan would outhit Mercyhurst 6 to 2, but this was not enough. Mercyhurst won 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth off of a squeeze bunt.
Game 6
For the second game on Monday, Wesleyan took on the University of the Sciences. The Lady Bobcats drew first blood in the bottom of the second inning when Kiley Turner hit a homerun to make it 2-0.  University of the Sciences would get their only run in the top of fourth, while Wesleyan added some insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth to make the final score 4-1. Kelley Bourne would pick up the win for the Lady Bobcats.  
Game 7
On Tuesday, Wesleyan would first take on Walsh University. The Lady Bobcats opened the game with six runs in the first inning. Walsh immediately countered with a two-run homerun. Walsh would hit another homerun in the third inning, cutting the lead to 6-3. And they would score an additional run in the fourth inning. Wesleyan would respond with three more runs in the bottom of the fifth and seventh innings to make it 12-4. However, Walsh would not go down without a fight. They managed to score four runs in the bottom of the seventh, but this was not enough. Wesleyan would take the game 12-8. Notable players for the Lady Bobcats included Megan Magsamen who had a triple and 2 RBI's, Brooke Clark with a homerun and 3 RBI's, and Kiley Turner with 3 RBI's.   
Game 8
In the second game on Tuesday, Wesleyan took on Georgian Court University. Georgian Court would score one run in the top of the first inning and another 4 more runs in the second inning to make it 5-0. The Lady Bobcats would score their only runs of the game in the bottom of the second inning when Megan Magsamen hit a two-run homerun. Georgian Court would tack on 2 more runs in the fourth and then another one in the fifth, and finally 4 more in the sixth. Georgian Court would outhit the Lady Bobcats 12-5, and would go onto the win the game 12-2.
Game 9
On Wednesday, Wesleyan would first take on Mercy College. Mercy struck first in the bottom of the first with two runs to take a 2-0 lead. The Lady Bobcats tied the game up in the top of the second with two runs on four hits. Wesleyan took their first lead of the game in the top of the third when Megan Magsamen hit a RBI single that made it 3-2. It remained 3-2-until the top of the fifth when the Lady Bobcats added on three more runs to build a 6-2 lead. Wesleyan scored their final two runs of the game in the top of the sixth on a single from Kiley Turner. Mercy would try to battle back and score three runs in the bottom of the seventh, but this was not enough. The Lady Bobcats would take the game 8-5. Wesleyan was led by Megan Magsamen who went 2-for-3 with three RBI's and Kiley Turner who went 3-for-4 and with 2 RBI's.
 
Game 10
For the final game of the Florida Trip, Wesleyan took on Assumption College. Assumption would jump out to a quick lead in the top of the first when they scored four runs. In the second inning, they would add on another three to make it 7-0. Assumption would also score one more run in the top of the fourth inning. Wesleyan would finally get onto the board in the bottom of the fourth when Destiny Alvarado hit a single to score Megan Magsamen and Miranda Frye hit a single to score Destiny Alvarado to make the final score 12-2. Assumption would outhit Wesleyan 19-5.
