BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- West Virginia Wesleyna's Maycon Santos Diaz has been named Mountain East Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Diaz, a sophomore from Brazil, won both of his matches in a key league win over the University of Charleston on the road. His win in a doubles tiebreaker helped put WVWC out in front, and then won 6-3, 6-4 in his singles match as the Bobcats improved to 4-0 in the league. Santos Diaz and doubles partner Carlos Dodero are ranked No. 22 in the country by the ITA.
