Durham, NC- West Virginia Wesleyan Track & Field Athlete Sydney Pineault had a historic weekend at the Duke University Invite. Pineault broke her second school record of the year with running a 10:37.98 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. That time bested her previous mark in the event of 10:43, and also eclipsed the NCAA Provisional mark by 23 seconds. 

Sydney currently sits 8th in all of Division II in her event, with the top 20 competitors at the end of the year making the national championships. The NCAA DII Championships are May 23rd to 25th in Kingsville, TX.
