Buckhannon, WV – Wesleyan faced off with Shepherd University Sunday afternoon at Cebe Ross Field. The Lady Bobcats were looking for their first conference win, however Shepherd would deter that from happening. Wesleyan would fall to Shepherd 17-3.
Shepherd's offense proved to be too much for the Lady's Bobcats. The Rams put up three goals within eight minutes of the start of the game. Wesleyan finally scored when
Samantha Pappas snuck one past Shepherd's goalie to make it 3-1. Shepherd would score nine more goals in the first half.
Trailing 12-1 to begin the second half, the Lady Bobcats looked to generate some offense.
Madeline Gorzka was able to score after a minute and a half and make it 12-2. Shepherd added on five more goals in the second half, while
Madison Duvall would go onto score a late goal for the Lady Bobcats. Shepherd would defeat Wesleyan by a final score of 17-3.
