Buckhannon, WV-- The West Virginia Wesleyan Football team would take on Wheeling University for a Conference game this Saturday. The Bobcats would be coming into the match with a 0-3 record as Wheeling also comes into the game with an 0-3 record.
The Wheeling University Cardinals would jump on top to start the game with a touchdown, however failing on the two point conversion, the Bobcats would quickly respond with a touchdown of their own.
Kord Jenkins would get his first carry of the game, as he would rush for a 27 yard touchdown right up the middle, making it a 7-6 ball game.
Wheeling would be putting together a drive on their own 15 yard line, until
Ephraim Moore of the Bobcat secondary would intercept Strachan's pass and would return it for 6 points. The Bobcats would remain in the driver seat with a 14-6 score.
The Cardinals would put a drive together at the Bobcats 42 yard line and put the game within 1 point. The Bobcats would be holding on 14-13 with 6 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter.
Jarrett Northrop would march his team down 74 yards with 3 minutes left in the half. He would connect to
Jonah Wellman over the middle for a touchdown, with 34 seconds left on the clock.
The Bobcats would take a 20-13 lead heading into the half as they would fail on the two point conversion.
In the 3rd quarter the Bobcats would start their drive at their own 20 yard line. Northrop would complete a 39 yard pass to
Chelo Teneval, the very next play he would complete a deep ball to
Kenny Lewis Jr. for a 38 yard touchdown in the back of the end-zone. The Bobcats would keep the lead with a score of 27-13.
Monty Rebelo would drive a pair of field goals in the 4th quarter to put the Bobcats up by a score of 33-13 with less than 5 minutes in the game.
The Cardinals would put together one more drive as they tack on another score to make it 33-19. The Bobcat defense would be to much for the Cardinals, as they could not put another scoring drive together.

Jarrett Northrop would throw for 293 yards (22-33) with 2 TD's & 1 INT.
Kord Jenkins would have 15 touches for 103 yards &

Chelo Teneval would each snag 4 receptions for just under 80 yards. (Lewis Jr. 1 TD)

Grant Safford would led from the other side of the ball with 8 total tackles a piece.
The Bobcats will be back in action next weekend at Notre Dame College.
