Recap
In a career full of memorable performances,
Dusan Vicentic put together his best game on Wednesday night against Frostburg, scoring a career high 34 points. Unfortunately for the home Bobcats, it ended in defeat as Frostburg's Jamil Jones knocked down a game-winning three with two seconds left in the game. Vicentic had just made a free throw to give Wesleyan the lead, but with the ball down one, Frostburg's Daniel Alexander drove in and found Jones wide open in the far corner for an easy look. The ball initially bounced up high off the rim, but settled back down and fell through to give Frostburg the 76-74 victory. The hardest part of the outcome to accept for Wesleyan is that the only time Frostburg lead all game was when the scoreboard read 00:00. Coach
Nick Patella's squad was up by double-digit points a handful of times throughout the game and even in the second half, but they fell victim to hot shooting from Frostburg's Joe Adedayo. The junior guard make many difficult and contested shots in the final minutes to claw the road Bobcats back into the game, and they go home with a hard-fought victory, and Wesleyan takes away a missed opportunity.
