Victors in their past four out of six games, West Virginia Wesleyan Men's Basketball kicked off the 2020 schedule at WVU Tech on Sunday. The game followed a similar script to many this season for the Bobcats, playing relentlessly from behind to win in the final minutes. The Golden Bears took a four-point lead into the half, and shot well to open the second half, leading by as many as nine with eight minutes to play. The Bobcats took the lead on a bucket from Luka Petrovic with two minutes left on the clock, and they would knock down their foul shots to hold the lead, and end up winning 79-72. Petrovic scored a season high nineteen points on Sunday, and Dusan Vicentic put up twenty points for the third game in a row. This is five wins out of seven for the 'Cats, and they will be hard to beat with their seniors scoring effectively, their forwards dominating the glass.

West Virginia Wesleyan has an important early MEC matchup with Charleston on Wednesday, the Bobcats and Golden Eagles are both currently tied for second place in the Mountain East Conference. WVU Tech travels to Indiana University - Southeast on Thursday to continue their NAIA schedule.
