Recap
It's not often that a league's fourth-worst offense has an outburst like Concord's on Saturday, but Wesleyan certainly felt the impact that kind of performance has on a game. The Mountain Lions could not miss from anywhere on the floor, shooting over sixty percent from the field, and from behind the arc, on their way to a 98-83 victory. It seemed that every time Coach
Nick Patella's team would muster up a response, Concord would bury it with three-pointers and difficult scores around the rim. They specifically could not contain Brandon Kennedy, who made seven of his eleven three-point attempts on his way to twenty-two points. Trey Brisco was also fantastic distributing the ball, as he collected eight assists along with his nineteen points. The Serbian duo was great again for Wesleyan, as both
Luka Petrovic and
Dusan Vicentic scored twenty-plus points, and
Daylin Lee looks to be healing well from the foot injury. Petrovic has been one of the best guards in the Mountain East Conference in the second half of the season, averaging 19.4 points, 6.8 assists, 6.4 rebounds since January 25. In the end, Concord made too many daggers for any mounted comeback from the Bobcats to be successful on Saturday.
