Reed Drops 33 Points, Yellow Jackets Outlast Bobcats

Jaylin Reed scored a career-best 33 points and Daylin Lee recorded another double-double in the 94-89 loss at home.

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- Jaylin Reed delivered another incredible effort by scoring a career-high 33 points as the West Virginia Wesleyan (0-5) men's basketball team surrendered the lead late to West Virginia State in a 94-89 loss at the Rockefeller Center in Buckhannon, W.Va. on Wednesday (Jan. 20).

"We weathered the storm," head coach Nick Patella said. "Possession by possession, I felt like we were engaged. What I like about our guys is that we're looking to attack when the opportunity is there. We are getting better at making the correct play and giving ourselves legit chances."
