The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan men's basketball team is scheduled to play host to Alderson Broaddus on Saturday (Jan. 30) at 4:30 p.m. before travelling to Notre Dame (Ohio) on Monday (Feb. 1) to take on the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. in a rescheduled game.

• Wednesday's (Jan. 27) contest at Notre Dame (Ohio) was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols and rescheduled for Monday (Feb. 1) in South Euclid, Ohio.
• Sophomore guard
Jaylin Reed is the team's leading scorer averaging 20.0 points a contest through the first five games. Reed scored a career-high 33 points against West Virginia State on Wednesday (Jan. 20).
• Junior forward
Daylin Lee scored a season-high points on Wednesday (Jan. 20) against West Virginia State. Lee has scored in double figures in three consecutive games.
• Senior guard
Jaret Mullooly has made four 3-pointers in two games this season (Jan. 7 vs. Fairmont State and Jan. 13 at Concord).

Nick Patella enters his second season as the West Virginia Wesleyan head coach. Prior to WVWC, Patella served as the head coach of nearby Davis & Elkins for four years. The Elkins, W. Va., native played basketball at West Virginia University under John Beilein from 2002-05 and was a member of the 2004-05 Mountaineers Elite Eight team. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at WVWC.
• Wesleyan lost its last time out this season at Charleston, 81-62.
Anthony Craven Jr. delivered a season-high 11 points and
Braeden McGrew contributed 10 points.
Scouting Alderson Broaddus
The Battlers have won back-to-back games after defeating Concord, 75-66 on Saturday (Jan. 23). Alderson Broaddus is 3-3 overall and in its first season as a member of the Mountain East Conference.
KJ Walker runs the show with a team-high 32 assists and 15.5 points per game. David Shriver averages 12.0 points per game and 5.5 rebounds a night. Lacey Watson also averages double-digits scoring (10.8) to provide a spark off the bench for AB.
Stephen Dye enters his second season as the head coach of alma mater. Prior to returning to Alderson Broaddus, Dye was the head coach at Glenville State from 2009-18.
Scouting Notre Dame (Ohio)
The Falcons are 1-4 this season and competed last on Saturday, Jan. 23 in a close, 71-70 loss at Frostburg State.
Jordan Roland is the current NDC leading scorer at 15.8 points per game and he has distributed a team-high 15 assists so far. He's followed in the scoring column by Jordan Burton, who averages 14.2 points a contest.
Mark Richmond enters his second season as the helm of the Notre Dame (Ohio) men's basketball program. Prior to the Falcons, Richmond spent two years as the director of operations at Division-I Youngstown State (Horizon League).
