Notre Dame (Ohio) Does Not Look Back After Strong Start

WVWC await West Liberty for a home contest on Sunday (Oct. 31) evening.

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan (6-7-2, 4-7-2) men's soccer team took on Notre Dame (Ohio) (8-3-2, 7-3-2) in Mountain East Conference action on Wednesday (Oct. 27).

In the first half, Ned Dry scored on the Marcus Vinicius Pereria cross in the 10th minute. NDC did not look back after taking the early advantage. 15 minutes later, after Logan Nelson initially stopped the Ailton Silva shot, a failed clearance attempt found the head of Filip Sparavec, who deposited the ball past Nelson for the 2-0 lead.

Taylor Dyson extended the Falcon lead in the 33rd minute before Sparavec got his brace on the stroke of halftime.

WVWC's offensive miscues continued into the second half against a strong Falcon backline.

The Bobcats remain at home for the Halloween showdown on Sunday (Oct. 31) against West Liberty at 7 p.m.
