Lee Scores Season-High at Notre Dame (Ohio)

Lee delivered 23 points and Reed extended his 20-plus point streak.

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Daylin Lee scored a game-high and season-high 23 points as the West Virginia Wesleyan (0-8) men's basketball team fell 88-70 to Notre Dame (Ohio) (2-4) inside Murphy Gymnasium on Monday (Feb. 1). 
 
Leaders for WVWC
Jaylin Reed has scored at least 20 points in five games this season including his last four contests. Reed also had eight rebounds and three steals. In addition to Lee's 23 points, the junior from Canada scooped up seven boards and swiped three steals. 
 
Cameron Ramage added 11 points while Tommie Pope hauled six rebounds and distributed three assists. 
 
Leaders for Notre Dame (Ohio)
Jordan Roland tallied 22 points and dished out four assists. John Godinez contributed 18 points and picked up four steals. 
 
Team Stats
NDC shot 51.6 percent (32-for-62) from the field including 12 made 3-pointers. Wesleyan finished 17-for-22 from the charity stripe. 
 
Inside the First Half
Nearly four minutes into the game, Reed connected on a turnaround 15-foot jumper to put WVWC ahead early, 6-5. Jayden Hibbitt drained a mid-range jumper of his own as the Bobcats trailed 20-16 with 10:41 left in the opening half. 
 
Trailing 37-30 in the final minute of the first half, Ramage hit a jump shot and Reed drove in for a layup as Notre Dame (Ohio) led 37-34 at halftime. 
 
Inside the Second Half
Early in the second half at the 16:54 mark, Lee converted a layup with the Bobcats behind 48-43. The Falcons responded with a quick 6-0 spurt to move ahead by double digits. A Roland trifecta and layup put NDC in the driver's seat, ahead 64-48 halfway through the second half.
