The West Virginia Wesleyan men's basketball team returns home to close out the regular season by hosting Concord on Wednesday (Feb. 24) at 7:30 p.m. and Davis & Elkins on Saturday (Feb. 27) at 4:30 p.m. for Senior Day.Â

Ross Young and
Jaret Mullooly will be honored before the game on Senior Day.Â

Daylin Lee scored a season-high 23 points on Monday (Feb. 1) in an 88-70 defeat at Notre Dame (Ohio). Lee has scored in double figures in five consecutive games.Â

Nick Patella enters his second season as the West Virginia Wesleyan head coach. Prior to WVWC, Patella served as the head coach of nearby Davis & Elkins for four years. The Elkins, W. Va., native played basketball at West Virginia University under John Beilein from 2002-05 and was a member of the 2004-05 Mountaineers Elite Eight team. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at WVWC.Â

Scouting Concord
The Mountain Lions are 7-6 overall this season and held on to defeat WVWC by a score of 73-69 on Jan. 13.Â

Malik Johnson is the leading scorer for Concord averaging 16.9 points per game. Johnson also paces the Mountain Lions in total assists (39).Â

Todd May is in his fifth season as the head coach at Concord. Before taking the reins of the program, May spent four years as the assistant coach for the Mountain Lions.Â

Scouting Davis & Elkins
The Senators enter the final week of the regular season at 3-9 overall. Davis & Elkins edged Wesleyan by a final score of 83-80 in Elkins on Feb. 10.Â

Junior forward Breland Walton is averaging a double-double of 20.7 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Sam Rolle IV is averaging 16.1 points per game and has dished out a total of 81 assists this year.Â

Daniel Mondragon is in his second season as the head coach of the Senators. Before arriving in Elkins, Mondragon was the head coach and director of player development at DME Sports Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida.
