Fay Scores Twice as Bobcats Blank Battlers

Kayla Fay scored a pair of first half goals to lead WVWC women's soccer to its fourth consecutive win of the season.

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan (4-1-0) women's soccer team got off to a fast start and limited the Alderson Broaddus (0-3-1) offense in a 3-0 victory on Tuesday, March 30 at Ross Field.

Kayla Fay wasted no time to put the Lady Bobcats on the board first in the 5th minute. Casey Underwood dribbled the ball into the box and found Fay, who sent it off of her right foot into the bottom right corner of the net

Fay scored again in the 11th minute off of a free kick from Natalie Pireu. Wesleyan led 2-0 at halftime.

The score remained the same until the 88th minute when Allison Crecelius was fouled in the penalty area. Pireu lined up at the penalty spot and promptly placed the ball into the back of the net to cap off a 3-0 win.

WVWC women's soccer returns to Ross Field on Friday (April 2) to take on Frostburg State at 5 p.m. for Senior Night.
