Baseball Preview: Concord

Concord comes to Buckhannon for a four-game series.

The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan baseball team welcomes Concord to Hank Ellis Field for a four-game series April 17-18. 
 
Quick Hits
• Eric Forbrick is closing in on the Top 10 all-time in career hits at WVWC. He is currently at 169 and 172 will put him in a tie for 10th all-time at Wesleyan. He is already in the Top-10 for career doubles and home runs over his Bobcat career
• Adrian Delgado hit a walk-off double in Wesleyan's 5-4 game one victory over Alderson Broaddus on Monday (April 5). 
• Delgado followed that up with a 2-run walk-off homer to defeat Fairmont State in game two of a doubleheader on Wednesday (April 7). 
• Hunter Eplin hit his first collegiate home run and went 2-for-2 at the plate in game one of Sunday's (April 11) doubleheader at Charleston.
• Randy Tenney enters his 35th season as the head coach of the Wesleyan baseball program. He has accumulated a 782-607-6 overall record. 
 
Scouting Concord
The Mountain Lions are off to a 4-16 start to the 2021 season. 
 
Anthony Stehlin is currently batting .479 (23-for-48) with four home runs, three doubles, one triple and 13 RBI. 
 
On the mound, Trent Abernathy has been a workhorse on the mound striking out 44 batters over 32.2 innings. 
 
Kevin Garrett is 472-364 in 21 seasons as the head coach of the Concord baseball program.
