Box Score INSTITUTE, W.Va.-- The West Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team was back in action Wednesday (April 14). The men did not drop a set on the day, leading to a convincing 7-0 victory.
The Bobcats set the tone for the day in doubles, dropping only two games over the three matches.
At No.1,
Taylor Papworth and
Harry Simaioforidis defeated their opposition by a final score of (6-2)
The No.2 duo of
Camillo Salvi and
Anthony McIntosh had no problem the the Yellow Jacket pairing dispatching the (6-0). The victory sealed the doubles point for WVWC to give them the 1-0 lead heading into singles.
In singles play WVWC did not drop a game in No.3-6 during the first set.
Taylor Papworth,
Camillo Salvi,
Anthony McIntosh, and
Haruki IIzuka were all apart of the impressive feat.
Papworth, Salvi, and IIzuka would repeat their performance from the first set in the following set to give them straight set victories and clinch the match for the Bobcats.
The 'Cats would continue to take care of business winning the three final singles matches to round out the scoring on evening.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday (April 16) as they take on the Senators from Davis & Elkins. The match is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
