Yuka Mizuide found the back of the net for their first collegiate goals for the West Virginia Wesleyan lacrosse team (0-7) in a 24-2 loss to Notre Dame (Ohio) (7-3) on Wednesday (April 14) afternoon at Ross Field in Buckhannon, W.Va.

WVWC Leaders
Canby and Mizuide generated the offense for the Bobcats and each scored a goal.
Iris Kolenich and
Madison Rowe each had three ground balls. Kolenich and Mizuide each caused two turnovers.

Notre Dame (Ohio) Leaders
Three Falcons players scored five or more goals. Selena Carter scored seven goals while Amanda Paino scored six goals and Charlotte Vari scored five goals. Megan Dano dished out five assists. Paino and Alicyn Loberg each picked up four ground balls. Katie Wendell caused five turnovers. Goalkeeper Mackenzie Levine made six saves.

Inside the First Half
The Falcons scored the first three goals of the game. The Bobcats responded when Canby scored on a free position shot to cut the lead to 3-1 with 22:30 left in the first half. The Falcons scored the next four goals. Mizuide scored with 10:41 remaining in the first half. NDC scored seven consecutive goals to close out the half with a 14-2 lead.

Inside the Second Half
Notre Dame continued to roll in the second half and scored ten goals to win the game 24-2.
