ELKINS, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan (4-2-2) women's soccer team outshot Davis & Elkins (3-4-1) 24-10, but the game finished in a 1-1 tie on Friday (April 16) at Nuttall Field.

It only took the Senators 19 seconds to strike first in the first half when Azalea Ayala dragged a shot from the right side of the box into the bottom left corner of the net past a diving
Ally Moore.

The Lady Bobcats answered quickly after
Kayla Fay sent the ball to
Casey Underwood, who cut to the right side of the box and delivered it promptly into the lower left side of the net. The score remained tied 1-1 at halftime.

nd minute, Wesleyan fired five shots. Over the course of the match, the Lady Bobcats outshot D&E on goal by a 13-3 margin including one from Fay as time expired in regulation.

In overtime, Wesleyan outshot Davis & Elkins 5-2 as most of the attempts were off target high.

WVWC women's soccer is the No. 6 seed in the MEC Tournament and will play at No. 3 seed Notre Dame College (4-2-2) in the opening round on Monday, April 19 at a time yet to be determined.
