The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan softball team is set to play host to Notre Dame (Ohio) in a doubleheader on Saturday (April 3) beginning at 12 p.m. before Alderson Broaddus comes to Buckhannon at 4 p.m. on Monday (April 5) in another doubleheader. 
 
The doubleheader versus Alderson Broaddus was originally scheduled for Friday (April 2), but it was moved back to Monday to avoid weather.

• The Bobcats finished the abbreviated 2020 campaign at 12-6 overall. 
• Abigail O'Shields spun a no-hitter in a five-inning, 9-0 victory over Glenville State on Saturday (March 27). 
• Lauryn King batted .462 (6-for-13) over the opening weekend with three RBI.
• Kennedy Cowart hit at a .429 clip (6-for-14) and drove in three runs during the first four games of the season.
• Bella Posey recorded a team-high five RBI after going 5-for-12 at the plate against Concord and Glenville State. 
• Kelley Bourne blasted WVWC's first home run of the season, a solo shot to left against Concord on Friday, March 26. 
• Steve Warner enters his 29th season as the head coach of the Wesleyan softball program. He has accumulated an astonishing 1076-398-1 overall record during that span. 
 
Scouting Notre Dame (Ohio)
Notre Dame (Ohio) is 6-6 to start the season and hasn't played since March 21 due to postponements. 
 
Lexi Rehm is the leading hitter for the Falcons batting .353 (12-for-34) with a home run and five RBI. Senior pitcher Taylor Olson leads NDC in strikeouts with 23 over 27.2 innings of work. Olson has registered a pair of complete shutouts this season.
 
Kelsey Stopp enters her third season as the head coach at Notre Dame (Ohio). 
 
Scouting Alderson Broaddus
The Alderson Broaddus softball team takes a 1-11 overall record into the weekend. 
 
Lauren Meyer sets the table for the Battlers hitting .342 (13-for-38) and has crossed home plate to score six times. Hailee Culbertson leads AB with six RBI. 
 
Meadow Uncapher is 1-2 with a 4.10 ERA over 29.0 innings. Jordyn Kenneally paces the Battlers in strikeouts in the circle with 20. 
 
Luke Shamblin is in his third season as the head coach of the Alderson Broaddus softball program.
