Baseball Preview: Frostburg State & Glenville State

WVWC baseball will host a makeup doubleheader at 2 p.m. on Wednesday (April 28) against Frostburg State before starting a four-game set with Glenville State.

The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan baseball team returns home to Hank Ellis Field this week for a makeup doubleheader against Frostburg State on Wednesday, April 28 at 2 p.m. before welcoming Glenville State to town for a four-game series May 1-2. 
 
Quick Hits
• Eric Forbrick is now alone 10th all-time in career hits at WVWC (173). He is already in the Top-10 for career doubles and home runs over his Bobcat career.
• Nick Grotti hit his first home run of the season at West Virginia State on Sunday (April 25). 
• Adrian Delgado and Geovani Sostre hit back-to-back home runs against Concord on Sunday (April 18). 
• Delgado hit a walk-off double in Wesleyan's 5-4 game one victory over Alderson Broaddus on Monday (April 5). 
• Delgado followed that up with a 2-run walk-off homer to defeat Fairmont State in game two of a doubleheader on Wednesday (April 7).

• Randy Tenney enters his 35th season as the head coach of the Wesleyan baseball program. He has accumulated a 782-615-6 overall record. 
 
Scouting Frostburg State
Frostburg State is 9-20 overall and 7-14 in Mountain East Conference play. 
 
Bryce Jackson paces Frostburg State in home runs (7), RBI (32) and slugging percentage (.656). 
 
The Bobcats have used a host of different pitchers but Franco Velasquez (30.0 IP) and James Stefanowicz (27.2 IP) have accumulated the most innings. 
 
Anthony Williams is in his second season as the head baseball coach at Frostburg State. 
 
Scouting Glenville State
The Pioneers are 13-16 overall and 9-15 in Mountain East Conference play. 
 
Tyler Phillips (.367 batting average), Tre'von Smith (28 RBI) and Duane Endlund (7 HR) are the offensive leaders for Glenville State. 
 
James Mullins is in his eighth season as the head coach of Glenville State baseball.
