CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan lacrosse team (0-5) lost 18-2 at Charleston (3-5) on Thursday (April 8) night in Charleston, W.Va.

Iris Kolenich and
Lauren Bolen each scored for the Bobcats. Kolenich scooped up seven ground balls and secured five draw controls. Freshman
Makenzi Lewellyn finished the game with four ground balls and four draw controls. Goalie
Gabrielle Cleaveland made 14 saves.

Charleston Leaders
Tess Yuhas led the Golden Eagles with five goals. Elisha Davis totaled four goals and three assists. Davis and McKenna Kincaid each had seven ground balls. Kincaid had a game-high four caused turnovers. Georgia Ryan made six saves and allowed only two goals.

Inside the First Half
Charleston struck quickly, scoring five goals in the first ten minutes of game time. The Golden Eagles scored the first nine goals of the game. Bolen scored the first Wesleyan goal of the evening with 8:13 left in the first half. UC scored three more goals to close out the first half owning a 12-1 lead.

Inside the Second Half
Charleston continued to roll in the second half and scored the first six goals of the second frame. WVWC scored again with 1:05 left in regulation when
Iris Kolenich ripped a shot in the back of the net. The Golden Eagles went on to win the game 18-2.
