GREENWOOD, Ind. -- West Virginia Wesleyan women's track and field's Lauren Leaman and Tori Carr were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District (District 2) team, the association announced on Thursday (July 15).
 
Carr, a Junior from Kingwood, W.Va., is a nursing major who amassed a stellar 3.41 GPA during the academic year. Carr specialized in long-distance where she was an All-Mountain East Conference performer in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
 
Leaman, a business administration major from Parkersburg, W.Va., wrapped up her time at WVWC with a 3.43 GPA as well as collecting an amazing six USTFCCCA All-Region honors. She earned Most Valuable Performer honors at the 2021 MEC Outdoor Championships.
 
Carr and Leaman are now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America voting.
