KENT, Ohio – The West Virginia Wesleyan track & field teams concluded events at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier on Saturday (Feb. 12). Both teams had strong showings inside the Kent State Fieldhouse highlighted by
Tanner Faulkiner's performance in the 60-meter finals.
On the men's side, Faulkiner had the best finish from any Bobcat competitor when he took second in the 60-meter finals. Faulkiner ran 6.86 in the event.
Scott Soucier ran 50.90 in the 400-meter while Justin Mcintyre ran 51.49 in the same event.
Kenneth Okoye took home eighth place in the high jump finals clearing 1.90m in the event.
On the women's side,
Faith Gandy took home a top-5 finish in the 60-meter finals. Gandy ran 7.68 in the event and finished fourth.
Aubrey Wiethe ran 1:03.79 in the 400-meters. Additionally,
Leigha Hall ran 12:34.32 in the 3000-meter.
