BUCKHANNON, W.Va.— Sinasi Emre Deniz's hat trick gave the West Virginia Wesleyan (3-1-2, 2-1-2) men's soccer team a much needed boost to pick up its second conference win over West Liberty (1-3-2, 1-3-2) on Sunday (Sept. 18) afternoon at Ross Field.

Deniz's first goal was assisted by
Sam Newell in the 6
th minute. West Liberty equalized in the 24th minute with a well struck free kick that found the head of Danilo Tavares. The half ended all square at 1-1.

In the second half,
Ridley Braid scored his first career goal for the Bobcats with a well placed left foot strike that found the bottom left corner.
Sam Newell then found the head of
Jaime Razo in the 61st minute to give the team a two goal advantage. Deniz then comfortably finished the game off with a composed finish in the 67
th minute and a well struck penalty kick two minutes later.

The Bobcat defense along with
Bryant Sheffield only allowed two shots on target all game.

West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer will return to Cebe Ross Field on Wednesday (Sept. 21) for a rivalry game against neighbors Davis & Elkins.
