Men’s Tennis Wins, Women’s Team Falls At West Virginia State

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan Men's and Women's teams were in action late last night on the road at West Virginia State with the men winning 4-0 and the women falling 4-0. The men have now won four in a row.

The Men
The Bobcat men kicked off doubles play with Kevin Lin and Camillo Salvi tying 4-4. Emanuel Mallya and Kihiro Karasawa were dominant in their doubles match, winning 6-1. Andreas Hald Dige and Anthony McIntosh were also victorious 6-3.

In singles action, Kihiro Karaswa, Camillo Salvi and Anthony McIntosh all won to secure the team's sixth win of the season and start MEC play with a win.

The Women
Omolade Aderemi and Cayley Symons fought hard in their doubles match but fell 6-3. Raelyn Vance and Megan Meyer got beat 6-0.

For singles play, Aderemi won the opening set 4-1. Symons, Vance and Meyer were defeated as the Yellow Jackets took the 4-0 victory.

Up Next For The Bobcats
The men travel to Edinboro on Sunday for a 2 p.m. start and the women will play again on April 4th at home against Frostburg State.
