BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan Baseball looks to get back on track with doubleheaders against Frostburg State and Fairmont State on Sunday and Monday. The Bobcats were last at home on March 21
st where they swept Notre Dame College in a doubleheader.
THE SCHEDULE

Monday vs Fairmont State at 3 & 5:30 p.m.
THE BOBCATS
Wesleyan enters (7-14) overall and (3-5) in MEC play. The Bobcats are on a five-game losing streak, losing to West Virginia Tech their last time out on Tuesday 10-3.
Jack Tilton's .362 AVG, .932 OPS and 25 hits leads the Wesleyan offense. Three other Bobcats are hitting above .300 as
Devin Johnson is hitting .328 and leading the team in RBI with 17. Tilton,
Preston Todd and
Luke Burner have all hit a HR this season.
Hunter Eplin's ERA continues to drop, lowering to 3.94 with a 2-2 record in five starts.
FROSTBURG STATE BOBCATS
Frostburg enters (12-11) overall and (4-4) in MEC play, splitting doubleheaders with West Virginia State and Charleston last weekend and picking up a midweek win against Shippensburg.
FSU holds some powerful bats, knocking out 28 home runs as a team and having two Bobcats with 6 HR apiece. Mikey Guy leads the team in AVG (.366), hits (30), doubles (9) and total bases (56). Max Proctor is the leader of the pitching staff, posting a 3.16 ERA, 3-1 record in six starts and 34 strikeouts in 25.2 IP.
Athony Williams is in his fourth season leading Frostburg. Last season, Williams led FSU to a historic season, going 33-17 and capturing their first ever MEC North Division title. The 33 wins was the second-highest win total since 2015 when they advanced to the Division III World Series. Prior to taking the gig at FSU, Williams was the HC at Clarion where he won 53 games in four seasons.
FAIRMONT STATE FIGHTING FALCONS
The Falcons enter (3-19) overall and (2-6) in MEC play. FSU was last in action against West Virginia State and Charleston, where they went (1-3) during the weekend with a win over WVSU.
Fairmont is led by Alex Tennant on offense, who is hitting .303 and has 20 hits, six doubles, 1 HR and 7 RBI. Alex Perez and Noah Canterbury are tied for the team lead in RBI with 10 each. FSU has struggled on the mound all season but Connor Cramer has been the most efficient on the staff, holding a 4.66 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 29 innings of work.
Matt Yurish is in his 2
nd season at the helm of the Fighting Falcons. In his first season as HC, Yurish led FSU to a (27-22) overall record and (22-10) record in MEC play. In that same season, Yurish was named MEC Coach of the Year and had four Falcons earn All-MEC honors. He previously spent eight seasons with at Alderson Broaddus (three as an assistant, five as HC) where he led them to postseason berths in both the GMAC and MEC.
