BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan Softball will make the short trip to Davis & Elkins for a midweek MEC doubleheader with the Senators tomorrow at 2 & 4 p.m. The Bobcats split with D&E a few weeks ago in Buckhannon.
THE BOBCATS
Wesleyan enters (30-9) overall and (15-3) in MEC play after sweeping WV State and splitting with Charleston last weekend on the road.
Morgan Norris' .368 AVG, 1.107 OPS, 42 hits, seven doubles, three triples, 7 HR and 38 RBI leads the Bobcats.
Taylor Swartz (.327) and
Alyssa Souders (.303) are hitting above .300 for the Bobcats as well with Swartz bringing in 20 RBI.
Kendall Stoffel reached the 15-win mark while at Charleston and is at an even 1.00 ERA.
Hannah Hudson holds an 11-4 record, 1.48 ERA and has struck 102 batters out in 94.2 innings of work.
DAVIS & ELKINS SENATORS
The Senators enter (15-21) overall and (9-9) in MEC play. The Senators also swept WV State and split with Charleston on the road over the weekend.
D&E features two batters with 20+ RBI, led by Linzey Allard who is hitting .375 with 45 hits, nine doubles, one triple, 2 HR and 25 RBI. The D&E pitching staff has a 5.22 Team ERA with Vanessa Hunt being the #1 starter, posting a 7-9 record, 4.39 ERA and 11 complete games.
Ellie Fracker is in her third season at the helm for the Senators. Last season, she led D&E to a 22-10 record in the MEC, finishing 2
nd in the South Division behind Wesleyan. Fracker has previously spent time as the HC at Fort Lewis and was the recruiting coordinator for the USA Athletes International in Colorado.
