BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan Softball will be back home tomorrow evening to face the Salem Tigers for a doubleheader. The games were originally scheduled to be played on the road but bad playing conditions forced the matchup to be played at Culpepper Field. The Bobcats swept the Tigers in a doubleheader earlier in the season.

Tuesday vs Salem at 4 & 6 p.m.
THE BOBCATS
Wesleyan enters (34-11) overall after sweeping their doubleheaders with Wheeling and West Liberty on the road this past weekend.
The Bobcat offense is led by
Morgan Norris, who is hitting .383 with 51 hits, 11 doubles, three triples, 8 HR, 43 RBI and a 1.147 OPS.
Andie Dizon,
Alyssa Souders and
Kaitlyn Rizor all have 2 HR and
Taylor Swartz is second on the team with 21 RBI. After a strong start on Sunday,
Abigail O'Shields has lowered her ERA to 2.13, which is 3
rd on the team behind
Kendall Stoffel (1.06) and
Hannah Hudson (1.38).
SALEM TIGERS
The Tigers enter (17-24) overall, lastly defeating Bluefield State on Saturday in both games of a doubleheader.
Sierra Chapa carries an impressive .413 average with 50 hits and 14 RBI. Meesha Arroyo leads the team in HR with three and is in a three-way tie for the team lead in RBI at 19. Andrea Gallegos is at the top of a struggling pitching staff, posting a 6-15 record with a 4.64 ERA with 12 complete games and two shutouts.
Steve Potts is in his 13
th season as Head Coach of Salem. Potts also serves as Director of Athletics and had spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Tigers before taking over the program. He holds the coaching wins record at Salem with 155 and most wins in a season with 23 in the 2016 season.
