BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan Softball wraps up the 2023 regular season this week against Concord and Glenville State at Culpepper Field. The Bobcats defeated both the Mountain Lions and Pioneers in doubleheaders on the road earlier this season.

Saturday vs Glenville State at 2 & 4 p.m.
THE BOBCATS
Wesleyan enters (39-12) overall and (22-6) in MEC play, coming off a weekend where the Bobcats split with WV State and swept Charleston.
Reigning MEC Player of the Week
Andie Dizon has been on a tear lately, finishing last week with 5 HR and 13 RBI while batting .529. For the season, Dizon is hitting .365 with eight doubles, one triple, 7 HR, 33 RBI and a 1.070 OPS.
Morgan Norris (.377) and
Taylor Swartz (.322) are also batting above .300 with Norris leading the team in hits (58), doubles (12), triples (3), HR (8) and RBI (46).
Kendall Stoffel's 1.12 ERA and
Hannah Hudson's 1.52 ERA rank 1
st and 2
nd in the MEC as Stoffel holds a 17-2 record on the season as well.
CONCORD MOUNTAIN LIONS
The Mountain Lions enter (19-30) overall and (10-18) in MEC play. Concord swept Notre Dame College and split with AB last weekend.
Lacie Lewis leads the Mountain Lion offense with a .358 AVG, 57 hits, 12 doubles and 4 HR. Rachael Koller is the only other Mountain Lion batting over .300 (.308) and she leads the team in RBI with 23 and is tied for the team lead in HR at 4. Nancy-Jo Roberts leads the Concord pitching staff, posting a 3.01 ERA, 13-11 record, 17 complete games and four shutouts in 144 innings pitched.
Alyssa Morris is in her 2
nd season at the helm for Concord. In her first season, Morris led the Mountain Lions to 17 victories. Morris played college softball at Concord where she owns program records for HR (46) and RBI (169). She began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Indiana Wesleyan, helping lead them to a 102-27 record and back-to-back NAIA College World Series appearances in two seasons. Morris also spent two seasons at Union College, one as an assistant and one at the helm.
GLENVILLE STATE PIONEERS
The Pioneers enter (21-23) overall and (14-14) in MEC play, previously sweeping AB on the road on Monday.
Katelyn Richardson leads Glenville with a .327 AVG and 22 RBI. Emma McLean is first on the team in triples (2) and HR (4). Holly Brehm has been consistent all season, posting a 1.94 ERA with 186 strikeouts (Top-15 NCAA) in 151.1 innings.
Sara Scoone is in her third season as the Head Coach of the Pioneer Softball program. Scoone played collegiately at WVWC where she won two MEC Championships, appeared in four Regionals and three Super Regionals, competed in the 2017 DII World Series and was a two-time All-MEC Second Team selection. Scoone was an assistant under
Steve Warner for two seasons before taking the helm at Glenville State.
