West Virginia Wesleyan College dropped its first road trip game to Notre Dame College (OH), 87-9, in Mountain East Conference action, Saturday afternoon at Mueller Field.

Leading the Bobcats' passing offense was
Nathan Payne who completed 18 of 31 attempts for 163 yards and 3 interceptions. On the receiving end, the Bobcats were led by Nathaniel Garret Jr. and
Aamir Almusawwir who accumulated 87 yards and 59 yards, respectively. Top Wesleyan rushers were
Kevin Mitchell who gained 18 yards on 9 rushes, and
Charles Spratley who ran for 15 yards on 7 rushes.

Notre Dame's defense kept the Bobcats out of the end zone while racking up 643 total yards on 63 plays to Wesleyan's 186 yards on 57 plays from scrimmage.

The Falcons' top performers were passers Isaiah Murphy (7-of-11 for 124 yards and 1 touchdown) and Deshawn Evans (6-of-10 for 120 yards and 1 touchdown). Notre Dame's top rushers were Krys Riley-Richardson (6 rushes for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns), Keshawn Huguely (16 rushes for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns), and Jay Sharp (5 rushes for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns).

Wesleyan will have an open date next Saturday and will return to action when it travels to University of Charleston, Sept. 23 for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
