Elkins, W.Va.- The Lady Bobcat volleyball team traveled to Davis and Elkins to face the Senators for the second time this season. The Senators took the first match, 3-2, at the Concord University Tournament back in late September.
The Senators took sets 1, 3, and 4 while the Bobcats won set 2, 25-16. The difference in this match was the hitting percentage. The Bobcats had 47 kills to 37 errors while the Senators had 40 kills and only 15 errors, a 17 percent hitting percentage compred to the Bobcats' 6.4 percent.Â
Notable Performances for the Bobcats included
Bhrooke Axe, who led the team in kills with 17. Axe also recorded 11 digs and 3 blocks. Emily Dension led the team in digs with 12 and had 11 kills and 2 blocks. Setter,
Jalynn West had 33 assists along with 11 digs. Libero,
Alexis Moeschler led the team with 3 serving aces and 9 digs.Â
The Bobcats are set for a home conference match against the Cardinals of Wheeling University on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.Â
