Buckhannon, W.Va.- The Bobcat Volleyball team, after falling to Wheeling University the night before, was looking to get back on track with a conference win against West Liberty University. A tough match was played, with score differentials of all four sets being 5 points or less. Wesleyan would win set 2 25-20, but lose sets 1, 3, and 4. Wesleyan's hitting percentage was 7% compared to the West Liberty's 17.3%. Team stat comparisons show a tightly fought match with both teaming recording 10 total blocks, Wesleyan would have double the amount of serving aces with 12, and Wesleyan with 66 points compared to West Liberty's 64.
Notable players for the Bobcats include
Olivia Albrecht, leading in kills with 13. Sophomore,
Bhrooke Axe, would follow with 10 kills and led the team in blocks with 6. Libero,
Alexis Moeschler led the team in digs with 23 as well as, 3 assists and serving aces.
Helena Kelley would lead the team with 5 serving aces and 7 digs on the day. Setter,
Jalynn West, recorded 34 assists along with 10 digs.
The Bobcats will travel on the road to play Frostburg State Friday, October 25th at 7:00pm.
