Buckhannon, W.Va.- Wesleyan played its conference rival Senators of Davis & Elkins College to close out the regular season.
The Senators previously beat the Bobcats 3-2 in September. The rematch would go to 5 sets and with 3 of the 5 sets being decided by a 3-point margin or less, it was competitive. Both teams had similar stats as both tallied 9 serving aces and hitting percentages were similar with Wesleyan at 15 percent and Davis & Elkins at 13 percent.
Notable performers for the Bobcats included sophomore
Bhrooke Axe who led the team in kills with 18. Axe and senior,
Jayla Cowherd both led the team defensively in blocks with 6 block assists each. Libero,
Alexis Moeschler recorded 30 digs on the night, continuing critical rallies for the Bobcats. Moeschler also had a dominating performance at the service line, leading the team in serving aces with 4.
Emily Denison had 11 kills, 8 digs, and 4 block assists for a solid overall performance offensively and defensively. Setter,
Helena Kelley led the team with 24 assists.
Jalynn West recorded 16 assists.
