Rockefeller Center- The Bobcat Volleyball team snapped their 7-game losing skid and picked up a conference win over the Pioneers of Point Park University. The win makes the Bobcats 3-8 in conference going into the final four games of the regular season.
Set 1 was a dominate showing for Wesleyan as the Pioneers could not handle the serves from players like
Alexis Moeschler, who lead the night with 5 serving aces. The Bobcats would record 10 total serving aces along with a strong hitting percentage of 22.2% compared to 2% for the Bison.
Notable performers for Wesleyan included
Emily Denison leading offensively with 10 kills along with 9 digs on the back line.
Bhrooke Axe would record 8 kills and would lead the team in blocks with 4 followed by senior,
Jayla Cowherd with 2 blocks. The Bobcats would rotate setters between the 3 sets as
Sarah McCall would lead with 12 assists followed by
Helena Kelley with 11.
Alauna Wilson would record a strong performance with 8 kills and 8 digs. Libero
Alexis Moeschler would lead the team in digs with 11 along with her 5 serving aces.Â
