Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Bobcat Men Secure MEC Playoff Spot

Wesleyan men's soccer traveled to West Liberty University Sunday and walked out with a 1-1 tie and a guaranteed spot in the Mountain East Conference postseason.

After a scoreless first half, the Hilltoppers got on the board quickly when Alex Watt scored on an assist by Brody Wall in the 47th minute.

At 73:07, Bobcat Dillon Rajkovic scored his sixth goal of the year on a familiar blast from outside the left side of the penalty box to the far corner. Dajun Barthley recorded the assist.

The top four seeds for the upcoming MEC tournament are set with Charleston, Concord, Frostburg and Davis & Elkins holding those spots, respectively. Wesleyan remains in fifth with 12 points in the MEC men's soccer table with one away game remaining against Davis & Elkins College on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. Sixth-place West Liberty with 11 points plays on the road against Wheeling University in its final match, Wednesday.
