Buckhannon, W.Va.- The softball team finished a home weekend series losing both double headers to Fairmont State and Frostburg. The Bobcats against Frostburg could only muster 1 run across both games continuing the offensive struggles for the Bobcats.
Game 1:
A 13-1 game 1 proved how hot the bats were for Frostburg. Another notable part was their pitching as #88, Jamie Roberts pitched 5 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run. Jamie also contributed at the plate with 6 RBIs including a 2 run Home Run in the 1st and a base clearing 3 RBI double in the 4th inning. For Wesleyan,
Kendall Stoffel took the rubber first pitching 3 innings with 6 hits and 5 earned runs. The only run would come across in the 4th inning for the Bobcats on a RBI ground out by
Kelsi Brown.
Alyssa Rohr,
Andie Dizon, and
Kendall Stoffel would go 1-2 at the plate as providing the only offense for the Bobcats.
Game 2:
This game would show similar struggles for the Bobcats at they were shutout 8-0. Pitching for Frostburg, Sydney Theobald would pitch 5 scoreless innings allowing 3 hits and no earned runs.
Victoria Wehrberger would take the loss pitching 4 innings and giving up 4 earned runs.
Mollie White would come in relief pitching 1 inning and give up 4 earned runs as well.

Brooklyn Osburn would collect the only hits for the Bobcats.
The Softball team plays Davis and Elkins at home in a double header Wednesday, March 20th starting at 2:00pm.
