The West Virginia Wesleyan College men's and women's tennis teams hosted UVA-Wise Friday at the newly surfaced Wood Street tennis courts. The men took the first set of matches 5-2, and the women lost in the late matches 6-1.
 
The men's match set began with a 2-1 loss in doubles but in singles matches, the Bobcats found strength in each player's endurance as 4-of-6 matches went three sets.
 
On the women's side, the Bobcats were all but swept except for Dominique Jansen's No. 1 singles win in two 7-game sets.
