MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – October 4, 2025 — The West Virginia Wesleyan College men's and women's swimming participated at the annual WV State Games, hosted at the Mylan Park Aquatic Center Oct. 3-4.
🧡 Women's Team Highlights
- Bre Waldron led Wesleyan's women with a 12th-place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:10.19) and followed that with a solid 100 back (1:09.00) to secure more team points.
- Maddie Macmillan contributed valuable depth in the 200 free (2:32.26) and 50 free (29.82) while helping close out relay duties later in the session.
- The Bobcats' relays — anchored by Waldron and Macmillan — competed in the 400 freestyle relay, delivering a composed performance that kept Wesleyan in contention among the top Division II programs present.
🖤 Men's Team Highlights
- Aaron Dworsky delivered one of the best individual swims of the day for Wesleyan with a top-10 in the 100 backstroke (1:00.10)
- Alex Cedillo (1:57.78) and Preston Householder (2:03.77) impressed in the 200 freestyle, earning mid-heat finishes while facing multiple WVU and Wheeling A-flight swimmers
- Owen Caynor added to the Bobcats' scoring with consistent efforts in distance free and medley relay legs.
