Softball Remains Winless At Spring Games

Grand Valley State 10, West Virginia Wesleyan 6

Grand Valley State earned a strong 10-6 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan in a high-scoring matchup. The Lakers capitalized on a powerful offensive display, including several key doubles and timely hitting, while their pitching staff held firm to secure the win.

Scoring Summary:

  • 1st Inning: Grand Valley State struck early with back-to-back doubles. F. Edwards doubled to center field to score E. Eiland, and G. Usher followed with another double, bringing Edwards home to make it 2-0.

  • 2nd Inning: The Lakers extended their lead with a big inning. E. Eiland singled to second base, driving in 2 RBIs, and M. Pope and C. Segorski scored. A couple of additional lineouts, including a hit by M. Spicer and E. Wesoloski, put Grand Valley State up 6-0.
