Senators Pull Away Late as Wesleyan Drops 91-83 Decision

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The Bobcat men's basketball team battled toe-to-toe for 40 minutes, but Davis & Elkins used a decisive late push at the free throw line to secure a 91-83 Mountain East Conference victory on Friday afternoon inside the Rockefeller Center.

The Bobcats (1-16, 1-10 MEC) trailed by just one at the break, 40-39, after a back-and-forth first half that featured seven ties and 14 lead changes. Wesleyan stayed within striking distance throughout the second half and even grabbed the lead late, but the Senators (7-11, 4-7 MEC) closed the contest by converting at the stripe and capitalizing on late possessions to seal the eight-point win.
