Ryan McDougall

Coach McDougall is entering his eighth season as the assistant coach with the men’s soccer program. McDougall also serves as the head goalkeeper coach. 

McDougall attended West Virginia Wesleyan College from 2008 to 2012.

He was a part of the 2010 team that finished sixth in the nation and made it to the NCAA DII Elite Eight. During the Bobcats run to the 2010 NCAA tournament, McDougall played in all 24 games, twelve of them being shutouts, with giving up less than a goal a game. 

In 2010 and 2011, McDougall was an First-Team All-Conference selection.

During his time in the net for Wesleyan he played 50 career games which included 30 wins and 22 shutouts. He only gave up 42 goals in his career for a 0.85 goals against average with 177 saves.

As a coach, McDougall was instrumental with the 2017 team that won the MEC Championship, and advanced to the national tournament. McDougall coached the goalkeeper who earned an All-Tournament team selection. 

He has experience coaching goalkeepers at the ODP and club level in West Virginia.

McDougall is originally from Granby, Connecticut where he attended Granby Memorial High School.
