Buckhannon, WV-- The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats took on Urbana University for the Home Opener Conference Game at 7:00PM this Thursday night. The Bobcats are coming off a loss to Seton Hill this past weekend, but look to pick up their first Conference win.
The game would go unscored up until shortly after the 50th minute,
Joshua Tenney would get an assist from
Timothy Barney and Tenney would bury the header in the back of the net. The Bobcats would have the momentum until Urbana would answer in the 71st minute, as Dizdarevic Jasminko would scorch one past the Bobcat defense to tie the game up at one a piece.
It wouldn't take long for the Bobcats to answer as
Javier De Ona Garcia would cut through the Blue Knights defense to assist
Joshua Tenney for his second goal of the night.
The Bobcats would be up 2-1, in the 80th minute until
Sinasi Emre Deniz would blaze through the Blue Knights defense to bury one to the back of the net to make it a 3-1 game which would solidify the win for the Bobcats.
The Urbana Knights would tack on a goal with minutes left in the game but it would be too late as the Bobcats win their first Conference game.
The Bobcats will be back in action next Wednesday in Wheeling, WV for a conference game beginning at 8:00PM.
